The Newcomers Club offers a wide variety of activities each month. Members are free to attend as many or few as they like.
The below events are planned by our board and committee members who graciously volunteer their time. The number of events offered each year depends on the number of members volunteering to coordinate them. If you are a current member who would like to volunteer, please contact us.
| Game Night/Bunco - Want some friendly competition? Game night meets at a member's home. The hostess usually picks the game and events are either women only or co-ed. General Meetings/Programs - General meetings are held monthly from September to May. Each month has a different theme, but every year we have a December Cookie Exchange and our end of year event. Happy Hour - Join us as we gather at local bars/restaurants to take advantage of their drink specials during the week. Moms & Tots - The club organizes outings for parents with kids and park dates. In the past, we have done holiday parties, Easter egg hunts, trips to the fire house and AquaTots. Socials - Socials are adult-only events held at a local bar/restaurant or a member's house. We usually have 3-5 events a year. While the club subsidizes many of these events, they sometimes have additional fees so we can do something really special. Supper Club - Join a few other couples at a member's house for a nice dinner. A theme is picked, and everyone brings a dish. At these smaller get-togethers, members really get the chance to visit more. Sunshine & Clouds Meals - Having a baby or surgery? Have you had a death in the family? Let the secretary know, and fellow club members will sign up to bring you meals. |
